Managing Director

Following two years with the Inland Revenue (now HM Revenue & Customs) and two years in industry, Gary joined a seven-partner firm in Dorking where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and progressed to a management role, in which he led a team advising owner-managed businesses and high net worth individuals.

In the late 1980s, Gary joined Binder Hamlyn, now part of BDO LLP, where he headed a team acting for small and medium-sized businesses and worked on assignments including serious Inland Revenue investigations, corporate reconstructions, management buyouts and corporate sales and acquisitions.

Gary joined Alfred Simmons and Co, as Vista Partners was then known, in 1994, and became tax and investment practice partner in 1995 before taking on his current role as managing director.

Director

Susan has extensive experience in working with small and medium-sized enterprises and has particular expertise in advising owner-managed businesses and professional partnerships on a wide range of issues.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA), she leads the audit and accountancy side of our practice.

She began her career with a five-partner firm in Chester before relocating to the South East in 1995 and subsequently joining Grant Thornton, from where she joined our firm as a partner in 2003.

Tax Principal

Andrew qualified as a Chartered Certified accountant (FCCA) with a firm in the Brighton area before joining our practice in 2015. Since joining Vista Partners, he has also qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).

Andrew has extensive experience working closely with owner-managed businesses, providing advice and support on a range of tax matters, with a focus on corporate tax planning. He enjoys providing tailored solutions to any tax issue facing our clients and gives a personal service using language that clients understand.

Outside of work Andrew is a keen follower of football and enjoys taking part in obstacle course races.

Senior Audit and Accounts Manager

Kidier joined Vista in January 2010 as a junior and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2017. She has extensive experience in working with small and medium-sized enterprises, and has particular expertise in auditing client money for Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and rules for insurance intermediaries, and auditing the ATOL Annual Return for the travel industry.

Audit and Accounts Manager

Georgie has been with Vista Partners since January 2012 when she joined as a junior and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in January 2020. She is currently an Audit and Accounts Manager at the practice predominantly dealing with the accounts preparation and auditing of small and medium-sized enterprises. Georgie also assists with VAT returns and management accounts.

In her spare time Georgie enjoys long walks with her dogs, Dougie and Ernest, and supporting the local pubs around Surrey and Sussex!

Business Tax Compliance Manager

After graduating from Bath University with a Masters in Engineering, Su trained as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and went onto specialise in tax, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser whilst working in industry for an energy supplier. Returning to her public practice roots, Su’s specialism at Vista is business tax, from corporation tax compliance to R&D claims.

If Su is not in the office she is likely to be found walking on the North Downs or the South West Coast path which she is hoping to complete in the next decade (or two!). She also loves to travel – preferably to places sunnier than Redhill.

Accounts Manager

Sheena studied Computer Science with Mathematics at Bristol University, in the days when computers were not considered important enough to have their own degree.

She did her Chartered Accountancy training and then her Chartered Institute of taxation exams while working in London. Since qualifying Sheena has worked in accounts preparation and audit in a variety of small and medium firms in Surrey and London. She is now concentrating on accounts preparation.

In her spare time Sheena is Treasurer of Surrey Federation of Women’s Institutes. She does many forms of needlework, with her favourite being Japanese Embroidery. Sheena has also completed both the Certificate and Diploma in Hand Embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework.

Practice Manager

Kate Lamb joined Vista as Practice Manager in September 2022.

Kate is responsible for the practice’s management accounts, day to day bookkeeping and payroll plus other admin duties. From a client’s perspective she is responsible for raising the bills. So, if you have any queries on our billing in the first instance, please contact her.

Kate has a wealth of knowledge and experience in accounts, payroll and systems, gained while previously working in industry. She was with her previous employer for 17 years and held various roles namely Management Accountant, Group Treasurer and Head office Accountant a then Payroll and Benefits Specialist.

Away from the office, Kate enjoys spending time with family & friends, trail running, and country walks. She can often be seen exploring the Surrey Hills with her little black dog.

Practice Administrator

Delphine joined Vista Partners as Practice Administrator in August 2022 following a 15 year career as an Event Manager in the City where she worked for Barclays as well as in the public and charity sectors.

Delphine assists with our Lasting Power of Attorney service as well as providing support for Probate cases. She is also the go-to person for anything from Marketing to Facilities Management.

Outside of work Delphine is a busy mum to two young daughters and enjoys running in the local countryside and Swing dancing.

Personal Tax Manager

Daria holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking, with a specialism in Public Administration. Since 2014, she has dedicated her career to working in accountancy and realised she likes the personal tax side of accountancy while working for a firm in Central London. Since then Daria has been cultivating a profound understanding of personal tax affairs, tax planning, and various tax matters. Her expertise lies in providing strategic solutions and adeptly navigating the complexities of tax regulations to optimise financial outcomes for individuals. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, Daria is recognized for her proficiency and reliability in the field of taxation, always going the extra mile for clients.

When she’s not in the office Daria can be found exploring the world with her family.

Audit and Accounts Senior

Henrietta joined Vista Partners in September 2023 as an Audit and Accounts senior and is a qualified Accounting Technician (MAAT) who is currently working to achieve chartered accountant (ACA) and chartered tax advisor (CTA) status. She predominantly deals with accounts preparation but also assists with auditing of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In her spare time Henrietta enjoys long walks with her dog Doris, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and kitesurfing.

Accounts and Audit Senior

Shweta joined Vista Partners in June 2024 as an Audit and Accounts senior. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She predominantly deals with accounts preparation and plays a key role in assisting with auditing of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Outside of work, Shweta enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing and travelling.
