GARY PROUDLOCK
DIRECTOR ATT CTA

Following two years with the Inland Revenue and two years in industry, Gary joined a seven partner firm based in Dorking where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and progressed through to a management position. Here he led a team advising owner managed businesses and high net worth individuals. In the late 1980's he left to join Binder Hamlyn where he led a team acting for small and medium-sized businesses and worked on serious Inland Revenue investigations, corporate reconstructions, management buyouts and corporate sales and acquisitions. Gary joined Alfred Simmons and Company - as it then was - in 1994, progressing to partner in the Tax and Investment Practice in 1995. Gary is the firm's managing director. In his spare time he supports Aldershot Town Football Club and enjoys playing squash and golf.


SUSAN JONES
DIRECTOR FCA

Susan joined Alfred Simmons and Company as a Partner in November 2003, having previously been with Grant Thornton. She began her career with a five partner firm in Chester before relocating to the South East in 1995. She has extensive experience in dealing with small and medium-sized enterprises. She specialises in advising both owner managed businesses and professional partnerships on the wide range of issues affecting them. Susan heads up the audit and accountancy side of the practice. In her spare time she enjoys sailing (though she still suffers from sea-sickness), walking (which usually finishes in a pub) and going to the gym (when she can't think of an excuse).


CHARLES OWEN
TAX PARTNER

Charlie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser who has considerable experience in advising both businesses and individuals on a wide range of tax planning issues. Previously, he has worked for a big four practice as well as a smaller regional firm. In his spare time, Charlie enjoys watching his local football team and mountain-biking on the South Downs.


COLIN DANCE
PERSONAL TAX MANAGER

Colin specialises in personal tax and in particular dealing with the tax affairs of individuals. He started his career back in 1984 at the Inland Revenue before moving into practice in 1987. He subsequently worked for a number of small local firms before joining Vista Partners in October 1996. In his spare time, Colin enjoys going to his local gym and visiting places of historic interest.


Claire McNish
Outsourcing Manager

Claire joined Vista Partners in March 2008 having previously been with Chantrey Vellacott DFK LLP.  Claire acts as an additional resource for many of our clients in a variety of roles.  She has experience in payroll, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, P11D’s, business plans, cash flow and other financial forecasts.  She is also the office expert in a number of accounting packages.'


David GreenDAVID GREEN
PRACTICE MANAGER

Dave joined Vista Partners in July 2010 with a background of Technology and Operations Management roles across a number of blue-chip companies. With experience of running his own business too, he understands the many issues facing Clients in today’s challenging economic climate, and the demands of managing compliance, risk and business change no matter what size of business.

He is responsible for managing all aspects of Practice operations, and projects for compliance and business change. In his spare time he enjoys golf and walking in the woods (cause and effect!), supporting England Rugby, and socialising with friends and family.
