GARY PROUDLOCK

Following two years with the Inland Revenue and two years in industry, Gary joined a seven partner firm based in Dorking where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and progressed through to a management position. Here he led a team advising owner/managed businesses and high net worth individuals. In the late 1980's he left to to join Binder Hamlyn where he led a team acting for small and medium sized businesses and worked on serious Inland Revenue investigations, corporate reconstructions, management buyouts and corporate sales and acquisitions. Gary joined Alfred Simmons and Company, as it then was, in 1994 progressing to partner in the Tax and Investment Practice in 1995. Gary is the firm's managing partner. In his spare time he supports Aldershot Town Football Club and enjoys playing squash and golf.

SUSAN JONES
PARTNER FCA

Susan joined Alfred Simmons and Company as a Partner in November 2003 having previously been with Grant Thornton. She began her career with a five partner firm in Chester before relocating to the South East in 1995. She has a wide range of experience dealing with small and medium sized enterprises. She specialises in advising both owner managed businesses and professional partnerships on the wide range of issues affecting them. Susan heads up the audit and accountancy side of the practice. In her spare time she enjoys sailing (though she still suffers from sea-sickness), walking (which usually finishes in a pub) and going to the gym (when she can't think of an excuse).

DENISE PLUMMER
TAX CONSULTANT ATT CTA

Denise is a highly experienced qualified Chartered Tax Adviser with a wide knowledge of direct and indirect taxes. She began her career within the tax department of Barclays Bank, before moving in to private practice within a London based firm of Chartered Accountants. Returning to work in the mid 1980s after taking time out to have her family she joined Kingsfords who later merged with Fraser Russell. Denise rejoined Alfred Simmons and Company in 1995 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1998. She enjoys going to the theatre and spending time with her grandsons when she is not at work.

CHARLES OWEN
TAX MANAGER

Charlie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser who has considerable experience in advising both businesses and individuals on a wide range of tax planning issues. Previously, he has worked for a big four practice as well as a smaller regional firm. In his spare time, Charlie enjoys watching his local football team and mountain-biking on the South Downs.

LEE WOODWARD
AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Lee joined Vista Partners in May 2000 as an accounts trainee and was promoted to Audit & Accounts manager in May 2005. She has over 9 years of experience in practice, having started her training in a small partnership in Croydon, Surrey. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and is currently learning to ride a motor-bike.

COLIN DANCE
PERSONAL TAX MANAGER

Colin specialises in personal tax and in particular dealing with the tax affairs of individuals. He started his career back in 1984 at the Inland Revenue before moving into practice in 1987. He subsequently worked for a number of small local firms before joining Vista Partners in October 1996. In his spare time, Colin enjoys going to his local gym and visiting places of historic interest.
